Our Kepler SETI observations at Green Bank are finished! The last few gigabytes streamed in at 6:45 PT this morning (05/22/11). We managed to finish up our raster scan about 40 minutes early and spent the remaining time re-observing stars most affected by the minor data loss issue I mentioned before. In the next several days we'll be shipping all of our data disks back to Berkeley, where we'll feed the data onto NERSC's HPSS storage system. Our plan is to analyze the data in two stages, first using local computing resources and later with SETI@Home and AstroPulse. The local analysis will include searches for both narrow band CW signals and broadband pulses. The latter can be accomplished quite easily with existing pulsar tools, the former will require a bit of development. We're all looking forward to getting a look at these data!
